Plans_Were_Made_2024-2026

This altered book started originally as a functional planner, which became abandoned rather quickly, a common struggle for people diagnosed with ADHD. It then evolved into a sketchbook for practicing altered book techniques which then proved to be a space for processing trauma, healing, and the struggles of being a female victim/survivor of sexual violence in a patriarchal culture. The book has been exhibited as both a book and high-resolution scans of specific pages within. It has been exhibited at the Griffin Museum of Photography in 2024.

Artist altered book, collage, analog photographs, handmade paper, redacted text, didactic images, handmade paper, Ceres, Celestial Legend manga pages, dried, pressed flowers, ink, carbon transfer, Rives BFK paper, linen bookbinding thread, maps, and personal writings and poems.
